Welcome to the Outdoor Recreation Network (ORN).
ORN is committed to exchanging and sharing information to develop best policy and practice in recreation in the outdoors, across the UK and Ireland. We encompass all of the outdoors – from urban greenspace in towns and cities to remote, countryside and wilderness spaces across the British Isles.
We achieve this by networking between our member organisations,
- organising research meetings, conferences and seminars
- regular emailed newsletters of members’ information and news items
- published journals
- library of conference proceedings, reports and publications freely available on this website. Our library archive goes back to 1974
